Puppy walking

An adventure in looking after a puppy until it is old enough to be properly trained as a guide dog for the blind.

Since Rockwell got here a year ago (September 9 to be exact), I was motivated to go back and look at the first batch of photos from his first day here.
first step up the stairs (Sept. 9, 2005)
I saw this one and decided to post it because we have since done so many photos on the stairs. On his first day, the upstairs was a whole big unknown world and he was actually a little afraid to climb those stairs. Plus he was such a little guy!

I know Nat, this year has gone by fast. Now he races me up and down the stairs - no fear.

Wow! It is hard to believe that he was ever that small.

So does this mean he will be leaving soon or do you keep him to 18 months?

Sam, I htink I'll post another baby picture of Rockwell - they are so sweet.

Erynn, Rockwell will be going back soon but it depends on room in the kennels as well as his readiness. They may have to wait until some dogs graduate before they can have space and a trainer to work with him.
